Ken - I often allow my humor to bubble to the surface when I am creating a piece. If I find the concept amusing, I hope others will as well. I have been experimenting with the use of 18th century reproduction watercolor paint and find the granulating characteristics bring many of my works an almost three-dimensional quality. I have been watercolor painting since 2004 but have only just discovered the single pigment paints with which I have become so enamored. It is my wish that those who view my work find as much joy in them as I did during the creative process.

Boyan - Ken manages to achieve quite contrasting pieces using a mellow palette and I like that. There is an interesting blend between subject and background which, put simply, makes the work great to view. I also like the slight skew of perspective between the subject and setting - it makes it all the more intriguing.
